Core Responsibilities
- Local Responsibility
People in Training organization
Deliver on our processes to build and develop the training organization in (insert area here). This includes:
Interviewing and selecting candidates for the shop-floor trainer role.
Deliver standard training to certify shop floor trainers in our training method (Job Instruction)
Deliver training to build documentation skills for shop floor trainers
Providing ongoing coaching and support that relates to training delivery.
Overall leadership and development of the people within the training organization based on philosophy and framework given by L&D (PO&D) and LCI.
Ensuring high quality in training delivery, by acting as a training coach for the shop floor trainers
With area leaders (e.g. Shift Leaders) and L&D (PO&D) support ensures effectiveness and stability of training organization.
Careful coordination and tracking of all mandatory shopfloor skills/knowledge training.
Training Documentation
In close cooperation with Learning and Development (PO&D) and LEGO Continuous Improvement ensures world-class standard of process documentation in the area
Close collaboration with Technical writer
Local deployment
Deploy necessary infrastructure to reach the goals of the training organization (processes, KPIs, visual management etc.)
Support continuous improvement of the training organization
Actively supports area in achieving the desired level of training/workforce flexibility
Acts as a strong partner for Learning and Development (PO&D), LCI and area leaders – as part of the leadership team in the area representing the training organization and the training needs
Analyze training needs coming from strategic initiatives, Business Plan and MWB’s, into training capacity needs.
- Global responsibility
Build strong global relationships with colleagues from other sites. Actively promotes coherence and collaboration between the plants and departments.
Drive handover (train the trainer) of global strategic initiatives piloted on site, incl. global standards and documentation
Acts as an ambassador of the global alignment of processes and training documentation

The focus area of the department headed up by the Training Manager is to develop the functional expertise within the specific area through a strong and competent training organization to support globalization and growth
Do you have what it takes?
Must have
Approx.4-6 years ofexperience within a technical area or production.
Bachelor in mechanical engineering, business management or similar, basic technical knowledge or experience from production related environment in plastic injection industry
Combined with experience with learning, development and training activities
Practiced Leadership skills in 1-3 years (Not necessarily as direct leader)
Used to work on different IT systems
Willing to travel
Nice to have
JI – from TWI institute
LEAN courses including manufacturing
Process understanding
Leadership, motivation and development of the team
Global collaboration during hand over of global strategic initiatives
Communication and strong collaboration with training organizations from other plants and other departments
Communication and strong collaboration with area leaders, Learning & Development (People Operation & Development) and LCI
Builds strong relationships with main stakeholders
Support and take training ownership of strategic initiatives, Business Plan and Must Win Battles resulting in process changes in the area
Support to shift-leaders and other leaders in training, standard work and process compliance
Thrives in a team setting with many different tasks on all levels.
