Core Responsibilities

  • Sustain key position within Department store channel, a key channel within Taiwan toy market, and continue further growth.

  • Support penetration into Grocery channel (hyper and super) especially hyper which is currently under penetrated in Taiwan market, and contribute to The LEGO Group and Business Unit strategy and growth ambitions of Taiwan.

  • Lead the field sales team to support store level execution across key offline channels (dept. store, grocery, GT) while cementing strong relationships with store managers.

  • Develop long and short-term strategy for both channels including and not limited to, store expansion plan and assortment maximization.

  • Develop joint business plan with retail partners to improve commercial value and deliver the best LEGO brand experience and consumer, shopper and customer service in Taiwan via both physical and online stores.

  • Support hyper market growth initiatives by working as grocery channel lead both in Taiwan and regional roles.

  • Drive the alignment and execution of the strategy by working closely with the local marketing team, regional and global partners.

  • Manage long-term forecasting and short-term stock turn of responsible accounts, increasing the efficiency of business operations to meet growth ambitions and demand.

  • Represent LEGO Taiwan in regional and global platforms.

This position will be directly reporting to the Country Manager of Taiwan. Department store and Grocery channel are key strategic channel for LEGO Taiwan. Department store has long been a key channel for the toy category and currently undergoing dynamic changes to address shoppers moving to online. Grocery channel is one of the biggest retail channel however toy category has never been a key category within. This role represents an opportunity to strategically drive both commercial results and brand building in Taiwan. Also a key position within the Taiwan Sales team to lead the commercial growth and agenda.

Do you have what it takes?

  • 5 or more years in knowledge and experience in retail (preferably in hyper and dept. stores) and key account management

  • Strong communication skills in both English and Mandarin, sufficient for strategic selling and relationship building

  • Strong collaboration and analytical skills

  • Experience in autonomous customer meetings, sales forecasting and initiative planning

  • Experience in leading and/or engaging with Field sales

  • Financial acuity (retail P&L management)

  • Result oriented with a can-do spirit, agile mentality and customer service oriented demeanor

  • Able to lead and handle change in a dynamic environment
