Global Insights is a large centralized insights engine within the LEGO Group, consisting ofdifferent teams working across multiple research areas e.g. concept, product & marketing innovation research, G2M research, performance and brand tracking.Our vision is to shape thefuture of the LEGO Brand through inspiring and enabling transformational action. We enable this through impactful insights and partnership with the business, across the marketing value chain.

This manager position will sit in a Center of Excellence team playing a critical role in executing research projects that support insights-led decision making as well as drive innovation within the research discipline itself. The role doesn’t have any formal people leadership responsibility.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead or co-lead ad-hoc research projects in collaboration with GI peers, both qualitative and quantitative.

  • Hands-on project management, gatekeeping and QC of research design, fieldwork execution and research output (including turning data and insights from research vendors to actionable business implications), to enable credible data and impactful insights sharing and storytelling both within GI and to stakeholders.

  • Ensure necessary local customization for China in global studies and be a sparring partner for China BP.

  • Vendor management, stakeholder communication, presentation.

  • Support developing and updating a China research toolkit to continuously onboard research partners on Ways of Working with LEGO GI incl. frequently used survey questions and respondent criteria, to establish global standard with necessary local customizations.

  • Rolemodel innovation and experimentation mindset and behavior.

  • Become an active member of a Center of Excellence research team as well as an active contributor to an agile squad.

  • Be a change agent together with the rest of Global Insights as we succeed together in building a world-class insights engine for the LEGO Group.

Do you have what it takes?

Relevant economic or business education – coupled with an international mindset.

Speaks/writes Chinese as well as Business English with high proficiency level.

4+ years of relevant experience from a research agency, consultancy, or insights management function in an innovative, fast-paced company.

Robust ability to work across teams, departments and cultures – globally, locally and sometimes across time zones. Travel can be expected – approx. 20-30 days.

Relevant business acumen and passion to bridge this with generated insights for optimal impact on the business.

Ability to translate business needs into impactful and innovative insights journeys.

Leads with empathy and acts as a true collaborator – We Win mindset!

Playful and find ways to unlock playfulness in their surroundings.

Is comfortablepresenting and speaks/writes English on a business level.

Thinks holistically, audience-led and is a natural synthesizer.

  • Previous experience working with toys, games, kids and especially the girls audience is an advantage.
