Core to the Japan Master Trainer profile, is the capability to define training needs in the Japanese market, run and manage the Train-the-Trainer setup, develop needed training material and work with 3rd party companies to bring extra value to our training offerings.

Because we haven’t had an official LEGO Education Academy setup in Japan before, the Master Trainer should be active in building up the national training offering and trainer community to ensure meeting as many teachers as possible and thereby also meeting many more students.

The key challenge - Professional development in LEGO Education in the past has not had a consistent focus and priority and the business models to scale haven’t been clear. Now there is a gap in where we are and where we want to be short and longer term to really meet our ambition to enable every student to succeed through a system of playful learning. We need to significantly step change how we do professional development at LEGO education and take action on this already Q4 2018 with the ambition to scale from 2019 onwards.
