Job Description

We’re looking for a progressive Product Leader to takeour digital shopper experiences on LEGO.comto anotherlevel! You will motivate and inspire product managers,teamsand stakeholders to work together, finding ways to deepen our understanding of the needs of our consumers and shoppers around the world, so that we can deliver some awesome, unique LEGO®experiences that will create lifelong consumer loyalty and value to the LEGO Group.

Role:

Reportingdirectly to theHead of Product for LEGO®Retail,you willbe responsible fordefining the productportfoliostrategyforallCustomerfacing digital experiences across our LEGO®Retail channelsand touchpoints,leading product managersandindirectly leadingproductteams to deliversignificantvalue to our customers and business.

You willdefine andprovideclarity on theportfoliovision andportfoliostrategyso that productteamsunderstand thecoreproblemsthat need to be solved and havea clear definition of success, using the OKR framework.

You will be a people leader ofup to8 product managers, taking on responsibility for their development, empoweringthem and providing them with psychological safety to fail and learn.

You will be driven by qualitative and quantitative data - obsessivelymonitoringmetrics and user research findings to optimize our products to improve engagement and retention of our shoppers.

As part of the P roduct L eadership T eam , you willbe responsible forone of our pillars in our annual ‘People Plan’ (Development, Culture or Collaboration), as well as jointly responsible for the culture,wellbeingand reputationof our team.

Together with the head of design and engineering leaders youwill:-

  • Work together to turn productportfoliostrategy into execution.

  • Ensure every product squad has the right resourceand capability,

  • Remove obstacles to enable teams to optimizetheir ‘value, flowandquality’measures.

  • Monitor value delivery againstOKRs and hold product teams to account.

Together with our stakeh olders (particularly VP eCommerce,VP of Digital Content, VPMembershipand their teams), youwill:-

  • Co-leadsome of our biggest development programmes (e.gMembershipand Personalization)

  • Co-createexcitingproductvisions andstrategies thatdeliver the required business value.

  • Championgreat collaboration between stakeholders and product teams, encouraging small but effective ‘service team’ ways of working,so that we canfind solutionsthat can be scaledinto high-performing and revenue-generating concepts.

As a hands-on visionary leader, youwillbe able tofind the balance betweenrolling your sleeves uptowork with your teamsand looking at the bigger picture to execute growth and development, always driven by data and end-user experience.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Establish a shared vision across key stakeholders by building consensus on strategies and priorities leading to product executionfor both short and long term.

  • Create clarityof strategy for yourteams andset annual portfolio Objectives and Key Results.

  • Improve the experience for our customers and deliveragainst theOKRs.

  • Manage, support and coach product managers so that they can leadproductteamsthroughthe ideation, development, and launch of innovativeproductsand features.

  • Champion the customer – seek out ways to get close to the customer and be the voice of the customer.

  • Create a culture of experimentation and obsession with end usersand data.

  • Drive acommunity basedapproach for learning from each other, be active in the product and design community.

What we’re *looking for: *

·   Demonstrable experience as a Director of Product where you havecreated product strategy, created followship from stakeholders and product teamsand deliveredthe desired value for customers and the business.

·   Proven ability in building and leading high performing product teams, inspiring and empowering them to work towards common goals.

·  An innovative flair – you haveexperience of finding the ‘unique’ in USP.

·   Experience in managing complex products,remainingagile in an ever-changing environment.

·   A strong critical thinker who is open to productive, intellectually stimulating debate.

·   Curiosity,creativityand flexibility; be ready to take initiative and get your hands dirty.

·   An enthusiastic self-starter who can manage projects autonomously, with the ability to toggle between attending to detail and steering company vision.

·  A strong networker with strong stakeholder management skills.

· Strongleft and right brain; known for creativity but also for analytical thinking and rigorous testing,measurementand iteration to drive continuous improvement.
