Do you want to part of our new Nature Impacts team and focus on the acquisition of high quality carbon projects using the Nature Based Solutions approach?

Bring your passion for and experience within ecosystems, carbon accounting, and social responsibility to help develop strategy, select appropriate partners, develop and lead programs, and track metrics around carbon (and biodiversity) compensation!

No relocation assistance is offered for this position.

Core Responsibilities

  • Ensure progress against our climate compensation goals by working closely with the director to develop, manage, and evaluate thoughtful, measurable, and impactful programs focused on nature-based solutions

  • Partner with communications team to develop authentic and valuable story-telling on nature-based solutions actions

  • Work with internal and external experts to develop reputable project/product footprints to understand the compensation needs while co-developing overall strategy for managing the remaining LEGO carbon footprint

  • Liaise with reporting team to develop and coordinate a reporting approach to tracking against compensation targets

  • Support the development of digital reporting solutions around climate compensation

Nature Impacts is a new team at the LEGO Group which is in part responsible for designing, launching, and managing programs that capture and sequester emissions outside our value chain. This group works with NGOs and industry experts to find the most authentic and valid solutions available. The team will also be responsible for improving the LEGO Group’s effect on biodiversity, water, energy, and waste.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Degree in Sustainability/Environmental sciences or equivalent

  • Proven experience from corporate/NGO/consultancy

  • Ability to manage projects in a global corporation

  • Ability to envision new opportunities for innovation within a quickly developing subject matter

  • Proven delivery track record in new/emerging fields

  • Experience in working with Nature Based Solutions

  • Existing network of NGO/Academia in forestry-focused areas

  • Metrics management and familiarity with carbon and/or nature reporting
