Job Description

Join the Legal Compliance and Risk Team and play an important role in protecting the world-famous LEGO® brand and products for builders of the future!

Core Responsibilities

  • Drive and proactively manage all commercial legal issues within designated Area of responsibility – Turkey as primary focus with advisory counselling to Greece and Central Asia markets in close cooperation with CEEMEA General Counsel, under the supervision and wider responsibility from Regional Sr Counsel responsible for TIGR CAT Business Unit

  • Providing legal support to all company functions and ensuring they are aligned with the company’s internal policies and rules, LCR and Business Unit/Turkish market Priorities and local legal regulations.

  • Accountability for providing full legal services in particular but not limited to coordination of legal issues and legal matters; preparing, coordinating and reviewing contracts and providing legal input and support on contract law, corporate law, labour law, etc

  • Provide regular commercial legal and compliance training and be a first line of legal advice for Turkish market

  • Manage internal and/or external partner relationships to optimize work effectiveness, including building working relationships with external Counsels within Business Unit and LCR CEEMEA

  • Support knowledge sharing and process optimization

  • Be the advisory line for TIGR (Turkey Greece) and CAT (Central Asia) markets in close supervisory cooperation with Sr Corporate Counsel Commercial

LCR CEEMEA (Central Eastern Europe Middle East and Africa) is a regional team located in Billund, Prague, Kladno, Nyiregyhaza and Istanbul consisting of a variety of legal positions, aimed at providing legal commercial counselling, operations factory, legal counselling and IP Enforcement Strategies.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Experience from inhouse or private practice within Commercial counselling, corporate advisory and marketing and sales counselling legal area

  • Proven track record in commercial matters legal management

  • Proven track-record in negotiations, contract drafting and advisory, matter management and stakeholder management

  • A desire and ability to learn new skills as well as the willingness to learn and following through on tasks

  • Highly collaborative and curious attitude with a “can do” approach

  • Ability to work in a team of world-class professionals, and perform as unalienable part of the team

  • Ability to be a first line defence for a commercial team within the Business Units

  • Previous experience working with multi-national legal counselling within Turkey and/or Central Asia markets would be highly advantageous

  • An appetite and previous experience with continuous improvement and process optimisation is preferred

Some travel must be expected within Business Unit.
