Then join us as Building Instruction Specialist in our Irvine office! This is a temporary, full-time position that will last up to six months. You will be responsible for delivering outstanding building instructions ensuring that our customers have the world´s best physical and digital building experiences!

Core Responsibilities

With an end-to-end perspective, you will craft, develop and test high quality building instructions with strong focus on ensuring a natural build flow that fits the age of the target group, their motor as well as cognitive skills. This includes to:

  • build both physical and digital models, to ensure a smooth and targeted building flow and finalize the layout of the building instruction

  • test physical building of fan-designed LEGO Brick models

  • deliver consistently high quality in all sub deliverables as well as in the final building instruction

  • initiate continuous improvement activities/projects to ensure constant optimization of work processes and tools

In the BrickLink Designer Program, we deliver digital components and world class buildings experiences for both the physical and digital instructions for the LEGO builders of tomorrow.

We value close collaboration with our business partners, working with an agile mentality. Our objective is to develop new and inspiring LEGO building experiences with a united physical and digital design language.

Do you have what it takes?

You might have a background as 2D/3D graphic designer, technical designer, design engineer or similar background and/or education, but regardless we know you'll come with a natural passion for the LEGO® brick and the LEGO building system. We imagine that you also bring:

  • proven skills in 3D and 2D tools and digital development

  • extensive experience and knowledge of the LEGO building system and digital design in BrickLink Studio and InDesign

  • solid knowledge of children’s motor skills and play patterns

  • knowledge of translating guidelines and design principles into concrete output

  • a strong understanding of model construction and various target groups

  • experience driving small projects

  • effective communication and collaboration skills, including proficiency in English

You have a high level of change readiness and a “can do” attitude. You are detail oriented and you always integrate quality assurance in everything you do. It will be an advantage if you have experience with the agile/scrum principles.

Compensation

The salary for this position has a range of $70,400- $106,500 based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints. The LEGO Group carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to prior experience, skills, expertise, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law. The comprehensive remuneration details, inclusive of benefits, will be communicated upon finalization of the employment offer.
