Are you interested in joining the LEGO® Germany/Austria/Switzerland Demand Planning team on a two-year fixed term contract?
Demand planners are key, trusted business partners with good understanding of the commercial business and strong functional technical mastery. By providing additional capacity and capability, you will join this team to deliver accurate forecasts while embracing new technologies and processes and driving significant change!
Core Responsibilities
Building upon a statistical forecast, you will deliver a monthly demand plan for part of the BU’s revenue (themes) covering a specific short-term time horizon.
Ensuring alignment of theme plan assumptions with Brand Management.
Collaborating with the commercial functions and with regional departments, you will ensure that demand plans accurately reflect known marketing activities, product launch timings and promotional activities, for the horizon covering up to 18 months.
Supporting the Demand Planning Team in managing big data and creating valuable business insights for improving our forecast accuracy.
Driving and executing continuous improvement initiatives related to Forecasting tools and processes.

The role supports the broader business to evaluate the volume and value of the existing plans, enabling senior management to identify gaps to target and to take corrective action. The output of your work will also be used by supply chain to ensure the right products are manufactured at the right time, improving In-Stock Availability whilst avoiding the generation of waste. The demand planner role is “multilingual” as it is used to inform supply chain (volume) and commercial planning processes (value).
Do you have what it takes?
Previous demand planning and/or supply planning experience from FMCG is preferential but not necessary, we are happy to welcome anybody who previously worked with complex data (might be also Finance, Sales/Marketing analysis etc.).
Validated analytical skills developed through years of relevant work experience.
Person with a passion for digital tools and advanced skills in Excel (including VBA) and Power BI (ability to create dashboards).
Enthusiastic collaborator who can communicate and convince diverse audience from commercial business areas.
Proven record of the ability to communicate in a way that makes the complex simple.
Self-driven person who likes to improve processes and is not afraid to speak up or challenge the status quo.
Excellent collaborator with great written and verbal communication skills.
Very good ability to communicate is a must.
Fluent English required (spoken and written), intermediate German preferred
