Job Description

As a software engineer within the manufacturing domain, you will be part of making architectural decisions, developing software, and deploying technology throughout all manufacturing sites that support LEGO® production!

We encourage you to apply regardless of your level of experience as the role could be either a Senior Engineer or mid-level.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop, operate, and maintain robust and scalable solutions, used in factories all over the world.

  • Nurture and facilitate a phenomenal engineering culture with focus on good craftmanship.

  • Explore new technologies and methods, finding opportunities for our platforms.

  • DevSecOps: “you build it - you own it” (and run it) with a keen eye on secure code and security by design.

  • Enable security and privacy by design in a non-blocking way, throughout the development cycle.

  • Mentoring other software engineers and help level-up their understanding of application design and development.

  • You should expect some travel to our production sites (maximum 4 times a year a week every time).

Play your part in our team succeeding

You will help deliver software and technology to manufacturing sites, which is crucial in evolving and delivering digital solutions supporting the production of exciting LEGO® sets. The products are interacted directly to the physical machines. The systems we develop are homegrown, and we work with objectives and key results to set the team up for success.

Do you have what it takes?

  • 3-5 years of experience in software development and architecture.

  • Knowledge of cloud and the corresponding services and architecture design patterns, like event driven architectures and microservices.

  • Proficient in modern object-oriented programming languages, preferably C#

  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and git-based source control.

  • Strive in building high quality REST APIs.

  • Standout colleague and ability to communicate and guide others.

Nice to have

  • Experience with container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Knowledge of OPC-UA architecture.

  • Experience with front-end framework, like React or Blazor.

  • Experience with Databricks or similar data processing platforms.

  • Queuing and streaming data with Apache Pulsar.

  • Experience with AWS or Azure implementations.
