Core Responsibilities
In this position as Senior CAE Engineer , it will be your main responsibility to perform structural simulations in support of the operational process of designing moulds and bricks (elements). More specifically, you will be responsible for…
Provide guidance to engineers based on the execution and critical interpretation of CAE simulation results
Able to solve & support on complex challenges within element & Mould Engineering w. support from Back Offices
Ensure alignment with internal customers to secure consistency, quality and value of delivered CAE service
Contribute to continuous quality assurance, validation and improvement of CAE simulation tools
Participate and engage in cross-functional teams that conduct root cause analysis in response to quality challenges.
Support Maintenance, improvement and development initiatives initiated from Back Offices

The CAE department provides simulation support to the engineering development within the LEGO Group. This includes analysis of injection moulding processes as well as analysis of the mechanical robustness and functions of both moulds and bricks. It is our goal to support the design of robust and efficient solutions in a cost-efficient manner based on digital prototypes.
You will join the CAE team, located in Billund, consisting of 8 dedicated and highly skilled colleagues with a diverse set of backgrounds in terms of gender, nationality, age groups, etc.
Do you have what it takes?
The ideal candidate comes either with experience from a role as CAE Engineer, Simulation Engineer or similar. You bring strong structural FEA capabilities including knowledge about non-linear material behavior, geometric contact or large displacements. Otherwise, you are newly graduated with minimum a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, Industrial Design & Technology or equivalent. In addition, you have:
Proven theoretical and practical experience with CAE tools, e.g. FEA, CFD
Broad working knowledge of CAD/CAE software systems, preferably Siemens NX
Ability to evaluate simulation results from underlying physics
Strong Stakeholder Management capabilities
Proficiency in English both verbal and written including great communication skills
Furthermore, it will be an advantage, if you have::
Knowledge about injection moulding processes and mechanical behavior of polymers
Solid experience with Altair HyperWorks, LS-DYNA, Moldex3D
Proven programming skills e.g. Python and MATLAB
