Can you help us shape the future IT foundation for novelty development of LEGO products? Then join us in a global position in our R&D organisation to facilitate, streamline and digitalize our novelty development process.

Find the right balance between design, cost and manufacturability

In the role as Industrial Engineer Manager Specialist, you join 9 colleagues in our R&D Packing & Packaging Industrial Engineering (IE) department. We deliver packaging solutions for all novelties in the LEGO® portfolio, and we make sure that all our products are designed for manufacturing while balancing optimal costs and quality.

Your main responsibility is to ensure development of our homegrown IT system to support rapidly changing ways of working and needs from our surroundings. You will need to engage in the novelty development of the LEGO products to fully understand our packaging processes and set-up and collaborating closely with our peers in local industrial engineering and our production facilities. More specifically, you will:

  • Act as the driver for changes in the IT system for developing LEGO packaging and set-up, as well as work closely with other areas in LEGO to find the right IT solution for the future.

  • Scout for improvement potential in our current set up and create the foundation for implementation by building data and/or business cases.

  • Drive and continuously develop the current tools and drive an even more LEAN and digital way of working.

Supply chain experience and great collaboration skills

With your global mind-set, you are able to collaborate across cultures, driving large-scale projects and change how our processes works. You have a structured approach to change management, are able to effectively drive changes as well as communicate them to involved stakeholders at different levels in the organisation. Moreover, you have:

  • A relevant degree within supply chain and/or logistics

  • 3-5 years of practical experience with supply chain and change management, providing you with a strong understanding of structures, systems and processes.

  • Strong skills in Excel – experience with development of macros and analysing large data sets)

  • Preferably SAP and BI knowledge

  • Experience with LEAN thinking and tools

  • Great communication skills, and you speak and write English fluently
